Chief Executive Officer

Billie Whitehurst is Orchard Software’s Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Orchard, Billie successfully led both large- and medium-size companies in the private and public market with a proven track record in driving innovation, generating rapid growth, and improving profitability for emerging growth companies. She brings more than 20 years of leadership and execution experience in healthcare, most recently serving in senior leadership roles at Netsmart, Change Healthcare, and McKesson.

Billie holds bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and nursing, a master’s degree in healthcare administration, and was named to the Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT by Health Data Management in 2019.

Chief Financial Officer

Eric Doan is Orchard Software’s Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Orchard in 2020, Eric previously held Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer positions in private equity-backed companies, most recently as CFO at Edmentum, CFO at myON by Renaissance, and COO at Jump Technologies. For most of Eric’s career, he has been involved with private equity-backed healthcare companies that focus on software solutions. Eric has more than 20 years of financial and operational experience and a proven track record of creating an effective environment for organizational growth, new solution development, and customer success.

Eric holds bachelor’s degrees in Zoology and Classical Humanities and an MBA from Miami University.

Chief Information Officer

Corey Stilton serves as Orchard Software’s Chief Information Officer. In this role, Corey evaluates new technologies to improve Orchard’s strategy and operating processes and works closely with Orchard’s Development and Product Management teams to continue to develop Orchard’s architectural roadmap in support of the organization’s strategy and core objectives. Additionally, Corey works integrally with Orchard’s information security and compliance teams, as well as Orchard’s internal IT and cloud services teams. Corey joined Orchard in May 2021 as a Molecular Technological Strategist. Corey was the former co-founder of Corwen LLC, a software company that developed and implemented state-of-the-art molecular technology in the laboratory field. Corwen was a strategic partner for Orchard and its clients to support COVID-19 testing. Orchard acquired Corwen LLC in April of 2021 to further its Molecular testing capabilities.

Corey has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from East Carolina University.

Chief Commercial Officer

Gwen Allen serves Orchard Software as Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, Gwen is responsible for Orchard’s molecular strategy and driving the growth, success, and profitability of Orchard’s molecular business. Additionally, Gwen identifies new strategies, business opportunities and disruptive technologies to contribute to Orchard’s growth and innovation. Gwen joined Orchard in May 2021 as a Molecular Product Strategist. Prior to joining Orchard, Gwen was the former co-founder of Corwen LLC, a software company that developed and implemented state-of-the-art molecular technology in the laboratory field. Corwen was a strategic partner for Orchard and its clients to support COVID-19 testing. Orchard acquired Corwen LLC in April of 2021 to further its Molecular testing capabilities.

Gwen has a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from North Carolina State University.

Chief Product Officer

Karl Wolf is Chief Product Officer at Orchard Software where he is responsible for the design, development, management, and marketing of Orchard’s solutions. Karl has more than 25 years of experience as a senior leader in the healthcare information systems industry. Prior to Orchard Software, Karl was Vice President of Capacity Management for Change Healthcare, where he led the development and launch of Change Healthcare’s Integrated Capacity Management Solution. Karl was also Vice President of Nursing Solutions at McKesson. Karl has extensive international experience, including experience leading GE Healthcare’s international clinical information systems business and as VP of McKesson Australia New Zealand.

Karl received a BA in economics from Rice University and an MBA in healthcare management from the Wharton School of Business.

Executive Vice President of Corporate and Business Development

Matt Modleski is Orchard Software’s Executive Vice President of Corporate & Business Development, responsible for strengthening corporate relationships and bringing additional value through new opportunities. In 2017-2018, he led the operation of a team of more than 70 physician practices working to integrate American Health Network with its new partner, Optum Health. Previously, Matt held director- and vice president-level roles in several healthcare organizations, including a vice presidential position with Stovall Grainger Modleski, a healthcare consulting firm. Prior to working in healthcare, he was an accomplished pilot who moved up through the ranks in the US Air Force, including 355th Wing Instructor Pilot of the Year and a lead member of the US Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, The Thunderbirds.

Matt holds a BS from Wilmington College and an MAS from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Vice President of Human Resources

Melanie Lockhart joined Orchard Software in 2012 and is currently the Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for leading the HR department and establishing and implementing strategic goals to support company objectives. Prior to Orchard, Melanie had experience in many facets of Human Resources, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits.

Melanie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from IUPUI with a concentration in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. She also holds a SHRM-CP certification.

Senior Vice President of Operations

Jeff Parypinski is Senior Vice President of Operations at Orchard. Prior to coming to Orchard in 2022, Jeff’s 25-year career has included VP positions leading customer support, sales, and implementation teams in healthcare IT. He has worked in many different verticals, including clinical solutions, practice management, enterprise resource planning, capacity management, surgery and anesthesia solutions, enterprise staff and patient scheduling, as well as room management solutions, among others. He has an extensive track record of developing leaders, as well as achieving customer success and financial results.

Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Illinois, as well as an MBA from Dominican University.
