As we have for many years, Orchard continues to support the USA Games for Special Olympics. We were honored to be invited to participate in this year’s games, held in June in Orlando, Florida. Orchard’s senior advisor Curt Johnson, workplace manager Paige Shipley, and director of executive administration Kelly James represented Orchard Software at the opening ceremonies and at several events. Orchard training specialist Ed Roberts and his family also volunteered at the games.
“Orchard Software began our relationship with Special Olympics at the request of the late coach John Wooden, and it has proven to be inspiration to all of us at Orchard,” Johnson said. “Having the opportunity to see more than 5,000 athletes participating in this year’s US Games was both humbling and awesome at the same time. All of us look forward to continuing our partnership with such a wonderful organization.”
The 2022 USA Games united over 5,500 athletes and coaches from 50 states, and brought in 125,000 spectators.
Orchard highly values our ongoing relationship with the USA Games for Special Olympics, and our team members look forward to participating in its events and volunteering at the Games in the future.
